Try each of the 22 units in its own quick lesson, practice the full command system in two final exercises, then lead the Green Guys through ten tutorial-free Ringfall missions.
Little troops. Big plans. Your turn.
Forward Element

Independently developed and published by Richard Lavey.
Call the shots, then watch the plan unfold
Bring infantry, tanks, aircraft, and naval units together on playful 3D battlefields. Use terrain for cover, capture key positions, and spend Cash on reinforcements where purchasing is available. Choose from eight curated skirmish maps, revisit campaign terrain, or generate a fresh map from your own settings and seed.
Challenge four levels of AI, share one device in pass-and-play, or host a player-initiated nearby LAN match for two compatible devices.
Choose any of the 34 campaign battlefields, eight dedicated skirmish maps, or a procedural map built from your size, biome, water, elevation, and seed choices.
Green circles and tan squares identify each team through color, shape, symbols, and distinct toy-like silhouettes that match the rally-fist scout logo.
Deploy from a roster of 22 unit types spanning infantry, transports, armor, artillery, aircraft, naval units, logistics, and specialized support. Open the Unit Dossier for an inline tactical summary.
Tune victory rules, starting Cash, income, unit cap, first player, turn timers, audio, camera controls, motion, contrast, and color-vision palettes.
Choose your next battle
Play solo offline, share a device in pass-and-play, or host a nearby LAN match on compatible devices. Take your time planning each turn, try different unit combinations, and return for better campaign medals. No account, ads, or in-app purchases are required.
Privacy Policy
Effective September 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Forward Element, developed by Richard Lavey, handles information when you use the iPhone or iPad application.
1. No Account or Developer Collection
Forward Element does not require or offer an account. The app does not require you to provide a name, email address, phone number, contact list, precise location, or payment information to the developer. You may choose names for local player seats, but the app does not send them, campaign progress, skirmish results, saves, settings, or other gameplay information to Richard Lavey or a developer-operated cloud service.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The app stores information locally so its features work. This may include accessibility, audio, visual, and control settings; campaign progress and medals; names you choose for local player seats; map selections and procedural generation settings; saved match state; and the command history used for match saves and recovery. This information remains in the app's local storage unless you choose nearby LAN play as described below.
3. Player-Initiated Nearby LAN Play
When you choose to host or join a nearby LAN match, Forward Element uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework to discover and communicate with one nearby compatible device. The session exchanges the player names chosen for the two seats, temporary peer callsigns, app and content compatibility information, lobby readiness, map and rule settings, procedural map parameters when applicable, game commands, match state, results, consistency hashes, and connection or recovery messages needed to play and reconnect.
This traffic is exchanged directly between participating devices and is not routed through a Forward Element account, internet matchmaking service, analytics service, or developer-operated backend. MultipeerConnectivity sessions require transport encryption. The app does not add a public player directory, text chat, voice chat, contacts access, or precise-location sharing. A connected peer receives the match information needed for the session, so use nearby LAN play only with a player you trust.
4. Local Network Permission
Forward Element requests local-network access only when it is needed to find or host a nearby LAN match. You can deny or later revoke this permission in iOS or iPadOS Settings. Campaign, AI skirmish, pass-and-play, local settings, and local saves do not require local-network permission.
5. Advertising, Analytics, Tracking, and Purchases
Forward Element does not include third-party advertising, analytics, cross-app tracking, or an advertising identifier. It does not sell or rent personal information. The app has no subscriptions or in-app purchases and does not collect payment information.
6. Cloud Services and Third Parties
Forward Element does not use a developer-operated cloud backend for accounts, saves, gameplay, matchmaking, analytics, or advertising. Apple provides the operating-system features used for local storage, local-network permission, and MultipeerConnectivity, and may process technical information under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. This public details and privacy page is hosted by GitHub Pages, which is separate from the app.
7. Retention and Deletion
Local settings, campaign progress, and saved matches remain on your device until they are reset, replaced, deleted within available app controls, or removed with the app. Deleting Forward Element removes its locally stored data from the device, subject to the normal operation of device backups you control. Nearby LAN discovery ends when you leave the lobby or match. Match information received from a peer may remain in a local match save for the same period as other local gameplay information.
8. Security
Forward Element relies on Apple platform protections for app storage and requires encrypted MultipeerConnectivity sessions for nearby LAN play. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
Forward Element does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or developer-operated service because it has neither. Nearby LAN play exchanges game-session information with the other participating device as described above. The game includes stylized tactical combat.
10. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the app's features or privacy practices change. Any revision will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
